As a Data Engineer (m/f/d) with a focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and Power BI, you will be responsible for building and operating reliable, scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions that transform ERP data into actionable business insights.


The role sits at the intersection of data engineering and business intelligence, ensuring that high-quality, governed data from Dynamics 365 FO is available for reporting, analytics, and decision-making across the organization.

Requirements


Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven hands-on experience extracting, transforming, and modeling data from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations

  • Strong expertise in Azure Synapse Analytics for data integration, transformation, and querying

  • Advanced experience with Power BI, including: Interactive reports and dashboards; DAX; Power Query

  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with: Relational databases; Cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake)

  • Solid understanding of: Data modeling principles; Data governance; Analytics best practices

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice-to-Have / Preferred Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in Data Engineering or BI Development

  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Dynamics 365 FO data model and entities

  • Experience delivering end-to-end Power BI reporting solutions based on Dynamics FO data

  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell

  • Microsoft certifications in Azure Data Engineering or Power BI

Responsibilities

  • Extract and transform data from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, following best practices for performance, scalability, and reliability

  • Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines using Azure Synapse Analytics

  • Build and optimize data models and datasets for consumption in Power BI

  • Design and deliver Power BI reports and dashboards, including data modeling and performance optimization

  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into robust data structures and visualizations

  • Ensure data consistency, integrity, and governance throughout the entire data lifecycle

  • Develop, document, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT processes for data ingestion and transformation

  • Perform performance tuning and optimization for large-scale datasets in Azure Synapse and Power BI

  • Support ongoing improvements to analytics architecture and data quality standards
