Description
Cloud Architects (m/f/d) are responsible for the design, planning, and continuous evolution of modern application architectures in cloud and hybrid environments.
These roles combine architectural leadership with hands-on technical involvement, covering the full application lifecycle: from requirements analysis and architecture design to development support, quality assurance, operations, and continuous improvement.

Requirements
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in modern architectural approaches and cloud technologies, combined with hands-on experience in building, migrating, and operating complex cloud or hybrid systems.
Core Requirements
Strong experience with cloud and hybrid architectures
Proven experience migrating on-premises systems to cloud or hybrid environments
Solid understanding of: Network architectures, API Gateways, Security concepts (WAF, DDoS protection, secrets management)
Experience with DevOps practices, including:, CI/CD pipelines, Automated deployments
Strong background in microservices and container-based architectures
Experience designing high-availability systems and service continuity concepts
Excellent analytical skills, strong communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset
High level of initiative, flexibility, and hands-on attitude
Nice-to-Have / Optional Skills
Experience with performance and load testing in cloud or hybrid environments
Knowledge of one or more of the following technologies:
Cloud Platforms: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud
Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Ansible
Container Platforms: Kubernetes
Monitoring & Logging: ELK Stack, Splunk, Prometheus
Security & Identity: OpenID Connect
Caching & Databases: Redis, PostgreSQL, Oracle DB, MongoDB
Responsibilities
Design, plan, and optimize cloud-based and hybrid application architectures
Work closely with Architecture, Requirements Engineering, and Development teams
Evaluate technologies, compare solutions, and select appropriate architectural patterns and frameworks
Design and implement technical prototypes and proof-of-concepts
Create and maintain: Architecture diagrams, ER diagrams (ERDs), Component and system models, Technical documentation
Support Infrastructure, Enterprise, and Solution Architecture activities
Communicate technical concepts clearly and present architecture designs to stakeholders
Lead technical teams (optional, depending on assignment)
Contribute to the implementation of complex software solutions, including refactoring initiatives
Help define and enforce architecture guidelines, development standards, and quality controls
Proactively identify and recommend modernization and refactoring measures
Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Developers, and Project Management across all project phases
